We meet as Church every Sunday at Cineworld Cinema, The Queensgate Centre, Harlow, CM20 2DA
We start our meeting at 10am and aim to finish at around 11:30am. When you get to the cinema, look out for lovely people with GodCentral church lanyards. They will do all they can to make you feel at home. We meet in Screen 5, just follow the GodCentral banners showing the way to the screen.
There is ample parking in the Queensgate Centre and you are allowed to park for up to 5 hours for free. Cineworld is in the top left corner of the centre.
What to expect during a GodCentral Sunday meeting
People begin to arrive at around 9:50am for a 10am start. As our guest we want you to feel welcomed, included and at ease.
Our Sunday meeting is a fantastic time of celebration with a warm welcome, worship, preaching, and kids work. There’s always an expectation that God will move in power.
Sung Praise & Worship
Our meetings usually begin with all ages worshipping Jesus together. We use contemporary songs with the occasional hymn and the words are projected on the large cinema screen. You are welcome to join in as much or as little as you are comfortable with.
Children & Youth
Our children and youth are with us during our sung worship. When that is finished we have a short break for news and announcements, then parents take their children to junior church which is situated on the mezzanine floor above the entrance to the cinema.
Our junior church team will look after your child as they learn more about what it means to follow Jesus. You will need to sign your child in to junior church and then collect them once the service has finished.
We also have a nursing mums and tots area situated as you come in to screen 5. Please don’t be anxious about fussy babies, we aren’t.
Bible teaching and breaking bread
Every Sunday one of our preach team will speak/ preach using passages from the Bible, it will be relevant and accessible and it usually lasts 25 – 35 minutes. Along with sung worship the bible teaching is a foundational element of our gathering. This is sometimes followed by a moment for the Christians in the meeting to focus on the saving grace of Jesus by breaking bread together and making space for worship and for people to receive prayer.
We have a pastoral team who wear lanyards with their name and pastoral team printed on them. If you would like prayer please feel free to speak to one of them and they would be happy to pray with you.
What to expect after the meeting
After the meeting, we serve hot and cold drinks in the screen. If you are a visitor, this is the time we would love to meet you. We are an intentionally relational group of people and one of the team will come over and chat with you. They will also give you a welcome card and some information about the church. If you would like to keep in touch and receive information from us please fill out the form and hand it to one of the team.
We’d be thrilled if you joined us!
